gloomy
Dear Polly.
Or maybe I should say Polly, Polly, Polly. Polly.
Science is making sense of patterns too. Human beings are trying to make sense of what they perceive. I don’t think that’s gloomy. I think it’s uplifting.
I think it means something to be alive and at the very least we are a part of the fabric of life and a part of humanity (right word?)
I do not see how some people (not you, Polly) think that learning about the universe lessens their belief in God. To me, learning how and why we work glorfies and affirms who we are and what we believe in.
Now if we talk about us humans beings making any sense at all–now that’s gloommy.
Anita.
p.s. I forgot who said this–“Consciousness is not merely a thorn, it is a dagger in the flesh.”
So what do you think of the decision not to be able to teach Intelligent Designs in schools (Pa. example)….??
