Horny Toads and handhelds

Students us the handheld to create graphs and interpret data. The horny taoad is a lizard that is also known as the short-horned toad. There is a decline in these types of lizards and scientists are curious why. Students in washington are helping scientists to acquire data.

It was interesting to hear and find out that students are interested in using their handhelds for research. They researched the horny toad, which is declining in numbers. It was interesting to read the article “Lizards and Learning” because my brother and I were always fascinated by the horny toad. My brother would always try and catch them and we would show our parents. Then we would let them go out into the pasture. They sure are fast moving lizards.
