Tech Byts
Building Knowledge at Dublin for the 21st
Century

Notes from the Editor
Dear Dublin Staff,
With the holiday season over the technology revolution is upon
us. The computers are expected to be delivered some time this month. The
"infrastructure" gentlemen were visiting your rooms considering where to
put the wiring for the network connection and the teaching station. The
"infrastructure"? That's the buzzword for wiring. I understand it will
connect us to each other, us to the board, us to the internet....You get
the idea!?! However, the board is supplying the wiring, but says nothing
about the equipment that does the work mentioned above (routers, hubs,
servers...which is another complete issue of tech byts!) Typical Harford
County style - give us enough to keep us guessing and feeling inadequate
:-) Don't forget to check out: http://www.jarrettsville.org/dublin/ or
http://www.jarrettsville.org/cows/ I'm working on posting kids' projects
so, if you have any letters to parents, or classroom calendars to put up,
or outstanding projects from children, just put them in my mailbox. I can
scan (most of) them into my computer (with the scanner we received with
Klein's receipts) and then onto the 'Net.
